A palm-sized projector that turns any blank wall into a screen. The P30Pro mini projector is 166 mm long, tilts on its own stand and throws a picture from 30 up to 150 inches — so you can watch properly in a bedroom, a flat, a garden or a student room without owning a television.

What it actually does

• Native 720p HD picture — a clean, watchable image in a dark or dimmed room. It accepts higher-resolution files and plays them back scaled to 720p.
• 30" to 150" screen size — sit it a metre from the wall for a sharp 30-inch picture, or back to about 3.5 m for a full 150-inch cinema screen.
• Dual-band 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz WiFi — the 5 GHz band matters for wireless screen mirroring, which is where cheaper single-band projectors stutter.
• Bluetooth — pair a speaker, soundbar or headphones instead of relying on the built-in audio.
• Phone and laptop mirroring — send your screen straight to the wall from a phone, tablet or computer.
• Tilting stand built in — the body pivots in its own yoke, so you can aim it up at the wall or the ceiling without propping it on books.
• Genuinely portable — 166 mm by 91 mm and light enough to move room to room or pack for a trip.

Two versions

• P30Pro Android 14 — runs Android on board, so you can install streaming apps directly on the projector and use it without another device.
• P30Pro screen-mirroring — the simpler, cheaper version. It mirrors your phone or computer rather than running its own apps.

What resolution is the picture?

Native 720p HD. That is the real detail level on the wall. It will accept higher-resolution files and play them, scaled to fit the panel.

How far from the wall should it go?

About 1 m gives roughly a 30-inch picture, 2.1 m gives around 70 inches, and 3.5 m fills a 150-inch screen. Further back means a bigger but dimmer image.

Can I use it in a bright room?

It's designed for a dark or dimmed room, like all projectors this size. With curtains open the picture washes out.

Which version should I buy?

Choose the Android 14 version if you want to install Netflix, YouTube and similar apps on the projector itself. Choose the screen-mirroring version if you're happy to cast from your phone or laptop and want to spend less.

Does it come with a remote?

Yes — an IR remote control, the AC power cable and a user manual are all in the box.

Can I connect a speaker?

Yes. It has Bluetooth, so you can pair a wireless speaker, soundbar or headphones.
